NBA Summer League - Day Eight

Former Florida State star and current Phoenix Suns forward Ron Hale uncorked 25 points on the New Orleans Hornets as the Suns prevailed in the day's first game 94-86. The heretofore unheralded Hale shot 9-for-13. D.J. Strawberry worked some magic with the ball dishing 9 assists for the Suns in the game. Steady big man Hilton Armstrong shot 9-for-16 to score 24 for the Hornets and Anthony Roberson bolstered his 20+ point Summer League scoring average netting 23. Rookie Julian Wright shot 5-for-8 and grabbed 7 rebounds en route to 14 points for the Hornets, who are winless heading into their final game of the event over the weekend. The Suns are 1-2.
