LeBron The Youngest To Reach 10K Points

The phenom known as LeBron James became the youngest player to ever reach 10,000 points in NBA history, doing it at the ripe old age of 23 years and 59 days old. Considering the beginning of the legend he is making himself, it was only appropriate that LBJ set the mark when his Cleveland Cavaliers faced off against the legendary Boston Celtics. Unfortunately, the Cavs lost, which lessened James' record-setting achievement, but it's hard to think that anyone will ever break the record now, especially with the NBA Collective Bargaining Agreement having seniors in high school NOT go the route of declaring for the NBA Draft.
Here's the top seven youngest players to reach the 10K point benchmark
- Lebron James - 23 years, 59 days
- Kobe Bryant - 24 years, 194 days
- Tracy McGrady - 24 years, 272 days
- Bob McAdoo - 25 years, 147 days
- Shaquille O'Neal - 25 years, 341 days
- Michael Jordan - 25-343 days
- Kareem Abdul-Jabbar - 25, 343 days
Note that James, Bryant, and McGrady all came out of high school, which helps explain why they're in the top three.
