Dwyane Wade Out For The Season... YAY! Michael Beasley!

The Fig Cap: "See you next season!"
Dwyane Wade will be taking some time off to rest his surgically repaired knee. It makes sense on every level as the Miami Heat are going nowhere this season, owning the Association's worst record at 11-51 at this point. Expect it to get a lot worse as Wade rides off into the sunset until the U.S. Olympics team gets ready for this summer's Olympic games. However, things will only get better because they honestly can't get any worse. Can they?
Actually, things could get worse. I'm talking, "Boston Celtics allegedly tanking their 1996-97 season to draft Tim Duncan number one overall" worse. Now, understand, the Heat are NOT tanking the season. Considering all of the circumstances, it's hard to say that they are to any degree. D-Wade resting at this point in the season with NOTHING to play for, makes sense.

Especially if, at the very least below the surface, the Heat want to draft Kansas State University's Michael Beasley, arguably the number one overall pick in the 2008 NBA Draft. Beasley hasn't declared yet as he still has the NCAA postseason to worry about, but the consensus is that he will. And when he does, every team will be salivating to draft the freakishly athletic, jump out of the gym, offensively versatile big man. He has legit size and strength and would be a great complement to Wade next season. At least, that's what the Heat can only hope.
Wade sitting out the rest of the season betters their chances.

I’d take D. Rose at #1.
