2008 NBA Playoffs - Day Six - April 24

Friday April 25, 2008

Here at About.com, we'll be following each day of the 2008 NBA Playoffs - nothing too in-depth with these posts, but a bit of a recap that gives a couple of brief sentences or so, the final results, as well as links to the boxscore.

Tracy McGrady Drives His Houston Rockets To The Victory

Houston Rockets 94, Utah Jazz 92 @ Utah / Box Score

Tracy McGrady picked a great time to go on a scoring burst, scoring seven points in the final 3.5 minutes of play against the Utah Jazz last night. The clutch display were all the points T-Mac scored in the final quarter eeking out a victory on the road to help avoid any notion of a Jazz sweep. The return of Rafer Alston, who scored 20 points, also helped the Rockets' cause. Jazz lead series 2-1.

Orlando Magic 94, Toronto Raptors 108 @ Toronto / Box Score

It was all about guard play for the Raptors as a slumping T.J. Ford snapped out of it to score 21 points with Jose Calderon adding 18 points and 13 assists. Dwight Howard "only" scored 19 points and "only" grabbed 12 boards, which isn't as impressive as the 20/20 he put up in Games One and Two, but still, who wouldn't take those numbers? The teams stay up in Canada for Game Four. Magic lead series 2-1.

Cleveland Cavaliers 72, Washington Wizards 108 @ Washington / Box Score

Deshawn Stevenson scored 19 points last night thanks in part to hitting five treys in seven attempts to help lead the Wizards to victory. Yeah, who's overrated now, LeBron James? Huh? HUH? Oh, wait... LBJ scored 22 points? I'll shut up now about that. However, what price victory when Gilbert Arenas goes down to injury? Stay tuned. Cavaliers lead the series 2-1.
