2008 NBA Playoffs - Day Twenty - May 8

Saturday May 10, 2008

Here at About.com, we'll be following each day of the 2008 NBA Playoffs - nothing too in-depth with these posts, but a bit of a recap that gives a couple of brief sentences or so, the final results, as well as links to the boxscore.

Manu and TD helped the San Antonio Spurs beat the New Orleans Hornets

New Orleans Hornets 99, San Antonio Spurs 110 @ San Antonio / Box Score

The Spurs were able to win on their homecourt thanks to the play of both Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili, who scored 31 points each. Tim Duncan added 16 points and 13 rebounds. The performance by the Big Three for the Spurs is the first time this series that all three of them seemed to be in synch and performed at their playoff norms. Chris Paul had his usual stellar game with 35 points and nine assists, which wasn't enough to help steal a game on the road. Hornets lead series 2-1.

Cleveland Cavaliers 73, Boston Celtics 89 @ Boston / Box Score

Not taking anything away from the Celtics, but LeBron James seems way off this series thus far, which has "helped" the Cavs look pretty bad as LBJ's shooting woes are affecting the whole team's ability to put the ball in the basket. Hopefully the Chosen One can change the script back in Cleveland. Celtics lead series 2-0.
