2008 NBA Playoffs - Day Thirty-Eight - May 27

Wednesday May 28, 2008

Here at About.com, we'll be following each day of the 2008 NBA Playoffs - nothing too in-depth with these posts, but a bit of a recap that gives a couple of brief sentences or so, the final results, as well as links to the boxscore.

Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers

Western Conference Final - Game Four

Los Angeles Lakers 93, San Antonio Spurs 91 @ San Antonio / Box Score

The Lakers are now obviously in the drivers seat of this Western Conference Finals and the Lakers are thisclose to making the NBA Finals and possibly getting Kobe Bryant's first ring sans Shaquille O'Neal. The game was very close thanks to a few spurts by the Spurs after falling behind by several points at certain points of the game. There was some controversy at a non-call when the Spurs' Brent Barry took a last second three-pointer to win the game. In my opinion it was the right non-call and even the Spurs agreed. In any case, the series shifts back to L.A, where the Lakers can close it out. Lakers lead series 3-1.
