Feeding The Post: Manu Ginobili To Miss A Month

* The San Antonio Spurs' versatile shooting guard Manu Ginobili will miss about a month of the regular season according to head coach Greg Popovich. Despite Pop encouraging Manu not to play at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Ginobili decided to play and eventually made his current ankle injury worse. The Spurs should be okay to start off the season since they seem to always coast during the regular season anyway, but Ginobili has a possible contract extension on the line this season. Thankfully for all parties involved, the team won't rush the player back.
* Tracy McGrady admits that his knee is slow to heal and his left shoulder is arthritic. Isn't that great news to the Houston Rockets' ears. T-Mac is a frustrating player to be a fan of, which I am one. He has all the talent in the world, but always seems to get hurt and he never makes it out of the first round of the playoffs. These days, it seems he's lucky if he makes it out of bed.
* Miami Heat GM Randy Pfund resigns. It's unconfirmed, but there have been sightings of Pat Riley rubbing his hands together and audibly saying, "Mine! All mine!" Again, this is unconfirmed.
