NBA Rookie Report: Rose Rising

There was a lot of valid hype about the debut of 2007 NBA Draft first overall pick, Greg Oden, who missed all of last season due to injury, but that debut had Oden hurting as he did last season thanks to another injury he sustained in the first quarter of the first game of his NBA debut.

Another rookie big man coming into this season with some hardcore hype was Michael Beasley. In fact, he was my preseason pick to win the Rookie of the Year. However, after one week of NBA action, another rookie is reminding us why he was tabbed number one in this year's draft.

Derrick Rose might be smaller, but his game is big.
