Feeding The Post: And The Answer Is... Lakers Lose!

* Well, maybe I jinxed it by writing about the Los Angeles Lakers still being undefeated with me looking ahead to the Phoenix Suns matchup as the game they'd have a difficult time with. Obviously, the Detroit Pistons think little of my prognostication abilities as they went to L.A. and handed the Lakers their first loss of the season. Allen Iverson, along with Rasheed Wallace, led the Pistons with 25 points, while Kobe Bryant scored 29 points in the loss.
* Speaking of Phoenix, they needed overtime to beat the Sacramento Kings, but they pulled out a victory despite missing Steve Nash and Matt Barnes who were suspended for their roles in a skirmish with the Houston Rockets a couple of days prior. Big news here - Shaquille O'Neal is playing ten years younger as the Diesel scored 29 points, grabbed 13 boards, and dished off six assists. KAZAAM!
* Do you think the Denver Nuggets are happy with the trade that brought Chauncey Billups to the team? I'd say so as they are now 4-1 with Mr. Big Shot dressed in a Nuggs uni. Last night, Denver came into Beantown and beat the defending NBA champs, the Boston Celtics. Big wins for both major players involved in that trade - Billups and Iverson's Pistons win versus L.A. Maybe this season will play out like a book and the Nuggs and Pistons will meet in the NBA Finals... okay, sorry.

When is someone going to pointout that part of the problem with the Lakers is poor coaching and prep. Is Jackson being paid for coaching or spectating ? I can’t believe that it takes him half time to make adjustments, that could be made on timeouts !! also, I can’t believe that Jackson can’t figure out how to coach an inside game, offense or defense, seems that if it’s not a triangle he’s lost. Tip: trade Rad for M Redd.
