Rookie Crossovers: Derrick Rose vs. Allen Iverson
The other day, rookie point guard wunderkind, Derrick Rose and the Chicago Bulls faced off against the Philadelphia 76ers and Rose made Sixers point guard, Andre Miller, look... well, stupid... as Rose put on a crossover display to get by Miller and take it to the rack - where it was unceremoniously blocked by Samuel Dalembert. Check Rose's ankle breaker. While the shot was rejected, the dribbling beforehand was impressive.
However, let's switch it up and go back in time when a Philadelphia 76ers rookie point guard wunderkind by the name of Allen Iverson made a cagey veteran Chicago Bulls player that went by the name of Michael Jordan look... well, stupid. Check out
AI's crossover on Jordan, which has to be considered better than Rose's for the following reasons:
- There was more set-up dribbling on the Answer's part as he was measuring Jordan and at the same time built anticipation in the arena
- Jordan was one of the best defensive players of all-time and still got victimized
- Iverson made his shot, which was not a dribble penetration and taking it to the hole type of shot, but AI buried the jumper and it counted for two
However, you may think differently and though Rose's crossover was more wicked as Miller actually fell to the floor, so let me know what you think in the comments section! More impressive, Rose or Iverson?

A.I is better…hands down no competition…but Rose’s was pretty impressivE!!!!
Are you kidding me?? Andre Miller fell down while Jordan almost recovered to block the shot, Iverson should of been called for a carrying call, and Rose’s shot was blocked, but it was goaltening. Rose in a landslide
ya Miler fell down, but mille3r isn’t Jordan, one of the best defensive players EVER, and one of the best at recovering as well, ai’s crossover wasbetter, at LEAST he got the TWO
This is silly. Yes, Miller obviously got embarrassed more (he got OWNED), but Rose has no where near the handle that AI does. AI had a better cross, better finish and he did it all game against the BEST EVER. Miller is barely even decent. He gets crossed so much he probably cross-dresses! I just wish Derrick finished it at the rack instead of pussed out with the roll. D rose will be awesome in time but AI as a penetrator is seriously ridiculous. Name another dude his size who exposes people more and can score like he does. AI’s rookie season was ridiculous.
yooo buy far derrick rose cross over was so sickk he made him fall and blocked his shot dat was soo sick ai is the best slick dribblier but ai gotta give it to derrick on dat one dat was sick plus he would of made the shot but…. its was goaltending so he would of made the shot anywayzzzzzzzzzz
