CHICAGO BULLS
Recap Rewind: With a loss and two wins last week, the Bulls were able to make up a little ground on the second place Cleveland Cavaliers and at this point every little big helps. The Bulls began the week with an ugly loss at home to the L.A. Clippers, with Clipper forward Elton Brand doing some damage to his former team. On Friday, the Bulls stole a win away from the visiting Denver Nuggets when Tyrus Thomas blindly tipped in the game winner with less than a second to go. Against the Indiana Pacers on Sunday, the win was no less dramatic. This time Ben Gordon finished off a 31 point performance with a game winning fade away with two seconds on the clock.
Notable News: The Bulls moved to within 1.5 games of Cleveland in the Central Division. The spot is valuable because it would vault the Bulls to the two seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs Andres Nocioni remains sidelined but is determined to at least return for the playoffs Ben Gordons game winner helped the Bulls overcome a serious road obstacle. The win over the Pacers was only the Bulls second win in 14 games at Conseco Fieldhouse.
Fast Forward: Chicago hangs around the United Center for most of the week, as the Portland Trailblazers, Detroit Pistons, and Cleveland Cavaliers come to town. Wins over the Pistons and Cavs may be the Bulls best opportunity to move up in the Central Division. The Bulls finish the week on the road at the Atlanta Hawks.
