Detroit Pistons

Recap Rewind: The Pistons tuned up for the playoffs and finished out the regular season going 4-2. The Pistons started their final stretch of the season with wins over the New York Knicks and Orlando Magic. The Pistons lost a close game at the Toronto Raptors and then went home to lose again to the Philadelphia 76ers. The Pacers put up a better effort at home and beat the Toronto Raptors and then finished the season with a two point win over the Boston Celtics.

Notable News: With the Eastern Conference’s top seed locked up the Pistons were able to ease their way through the final four games. Chauncey Billups, Richard Hamilton, and Chris Webber did not play the final game against Boston. The starters who did play in the last few games saw fewer minutes than usual, so the Pistons should be fresh and ready to go for their first round matchup against the Orlando Magic. Flip Murray had shots fired at his home by a couple of masked assailants. Murray wasn’t hurt but there is plenty of intrigue to the story.

Fast Forward: The Pistons host the Orlando Magic this weekend to kick off their Eastern Conference first round playoff series.
