Selected in the first round of the 1983 draft, Clyde The Glide Drexler led his Portland Trail Blazers to the NBA Finals in 1990 and 1992. While this feat led to his name being on the list of victims that Michael Jordan racked up during his career, it also led to being named to the legendary Dream Team which represented the United States in the Barcelona, Spain Olympics bringing home the gold medal - in 1992.
Upon being traded to the Houston Rockets, conveniently during the same period which Jordan was retired, where he helped Hakeem Olajuwon win a second consecutive championship ring.
Drexler was named to the NBA 50th Anniversary All-Time Team in 1996, and retired after the 1997-98 season where he would coach basketball at his alma mater, The University of Houston. Eventually, Drexler left the game of basketball to spend more time with his family, but he has definitely kept busy outside of the hardwood. The Glide was last seen as the author of his biography, Clyde the Glide, as well as being the fourth celebrity voted off of the most recent season of "Dancing with the Stars."
