The history of the NBA championship starts during the 1946-47 NBA season and since then many NBA teams have been crowned the victor and held the mantle of champion. However, two teams in particular stand out as exemplary. The Boston Celtics with 17 NBA championships and the Los Angeles Lakers with 14 NBA titles, easily are the top franchises in NBA Finals history.
