Austin Kent is one of the many diehard basketball fans with access to an internet connection.

Despite being born and raised in a hockey town in Northern Ontario, Austin lives for any and everything basketball-related. With a constantly evolving love for sports writing and journalism in general, Austin hopes to make a career of traveling and getting into prestigious sporting events for free.

After finding a crumpled up copy of a basketball magazine in an abandoned corner of a Toronto subway station, Austin began writing for Hoops Addict. He has since stumbled across a number of rare interviews with a variety of NBA players, all while masking his secret identity as the biggest Darko Milicic homer the western world has ever seen. Austin has written on behalf of Hoops Addict for web sites such as TrueHoop.com and Sports Illustrated and enjoys the fact that people appreciate (or at least publish) his two cents on the NBA.

When not glued to his computer screen, Austin likes to consider himself a hardworking student in the midst of acquiring an undergraduate degree in Sport Management and Professional Writing.

Austin enjoys camping, watching Erica Hill on CNN, spending time with his two dogs, and the smell of a freshly opened bag of ketchup flavored potato chips.
