How You Got Interested in Basketball:
It was a sunny summer's afternoon and 11-year-old me was hanging out in my cousin's house. We were bored, and someone suggested we go play with the metal hoop thing stuck to the side of the house. So, we did, and it was pretty cool. I went home that evening and tore down all my dinosaur posters. Not sure why, I was a weird kid. Naturally, my new-found love for basketball led me to the NBA, where the biggest and best were doing it bigger and better than anyone else. Next I needed a team to root for. In the early-90's, Jordan's Chicago Bulls and Shaq's Orlando Magic were the popular picks, but I preferred to support an underdog. Those Hornets Starter jackets looked cool, so I went with them. Like I said, I was a weird kid.
What Makes You Qualified to Write About Basketball/Where Have You Worked:
I have no writing qualifications. All the big words I know, I thought myself. However, I live and breathe basketball and I've been blogging regularly over at Hornets 247.com for four seasons now, so I guess that gives me some credibility. As for work, I was in the employ of McDonald's for a few months when I was 18. The only writing involved was the application form.
