PORTLAND TRAILBLAZERS
Recap Rewind: The Blazers had an up and down week, registering one of their worst efforts of the year scoring only 73 against Seattle, then humiliating Charlotte (notching 127 in a game whose dunks were all over video highlights) before falling flat against a suddenly-resurgent Kings squad. They ended up 1-2 for the week but traveled a lot more distance vertically than the road would indicate.
Notable News: Forward Zach Randolph was held to one of his lowest production games of the year against Seattle, with an 11-point, 8-rebound showing. Center Joel Przybilla has a possible ligament tear in his knee and is out for the season. Rookie Lamarcus Aldridge has taken the starting spot and scored 30 on 12-19 shooting against Charlotte before going 1-12 for 3 points against Sacramento. No word yet on whether Ricky Davis will sue him for copyright infringement. Brandon Roy came close to a triple-double against the Bobcats and continues to fill up the stat line every night. Second year sharpshooter Martell Webster had his second 20-point game of the season during the scoring party against Charlotte.
Fast Forward: Portland has a light schedule this week, playing San Antonio on Tuesday and playoff-hungry Golden State on Sunday, both at home.
