GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS
Recap Rewind: The Warriors season has been hovering around the .500 mark the whole season. With an UGLY loss to the Magic that included a 10 point 3rd quarter and a FUGLY 22 point massacre by the Heat, Warrior Nation started to fear another off season of watching ping pong balls. A recent win over the Clippers abated those fears as this roller coaster of a season nears the halfway mark.
Notable News: Nellie decided that he'd do Chris Mullin's job for him by saying that Keith Smart will be the next Warriors coach... Whatever happened to Mitch Richmond? Hoops Addict has the answer... The Mike Dunleavy Jr. trade rumors never seem to end... MurphLeavy = Big Brother Holding Company???... MurphLeavy... MurphLeavy... MurphLeavy.
Fast Forward: The Dubs look for a home and home sweep of the Clippers as they travel down to LA on Wednesday. Following that is the Cleveland LeBrons' one and only visit to Oakland this season.
LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS
Recap Rewind: A Chris Paul-less Hornets team fell to the Clippers as ET dropped 31 points and Elton Brand double-doubled. Corey Maggette showed why he's such a hot commodity in the rumor mill as he dropped 21 points including the game winner in a nail biter against the Twolves. But a visit by Cleveland and a Clipper 4th quarter collapse, doomed the Clips to their 20th loss of the season. A trip up to the Bay Area to face the Warriors was supposed to be a close game, but turned into a 15 point defeat, with another 4th quarter to forget.
Notable News: Former 2004 lottery pick, Luke Jackson signs a 10 day contract... Props to Sam Cassell for getting his number retired by the Florida State Seminoles basketball program... Just like last week, Maggette rumors remain all over the place... Free Maggette... Free Maggette... Free Maggette.
Fast Forward: Revenge must be on the mind of the Clippers as the Golden State Warriors come to LA on Wednesday. On Saturday the bottom feeding Memphis Grizzlies make a visit to the Staples Center.
LOS ANGELES LAKERS
Recap Rewind: I'm still in disbelief of how the Lakers lost to the Grizzlies. Please explain that one. I can understand them , but by 25? Whew. But Kobe wouldn't let this losing streak get any longer even with a tough Orlando team and a Shaq-less Miami squad in LA. Orlando just didn't have enough while the Heat lost in OT.
Notable News: CWebb said he's sign with the Pistons, but what if he did come to LA?... The Lakers are still waiting patiently for Lamar Odom and Kwame Brown to make it back at full strength. This team is playing well even without them and could be real scary with Odom back... come back soon... come back soon... come back soon.
Fast Forward: The big boys in San Antonio and Dallas welcome the Lakers on Wednesday and Thursday and then on Saturday, the injury-depleted Hornets host the Lakers.
