GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS
by Fantasy Junkie of Golden State of Mind

Recap Rewind: The Warriors went to Utah last Tuesday to do battle with one of the top teams in the West. The Warriors are a bad road team but were able to hang tough. As well as the Warriors played, the game still ended up in a 100-104 loss. Carlos Boozer just killed the Warriors inside with his bulk as he went for 25 points and 21 rebounds. The Warriors were probably closer than they should have been as they got outplayed in nearly every single statistical category, FG%, number of free throws, rebounds, and assists. But compared to their previous road adventures, this one was quite impressive and shows that the team is a much better team with all of the pieces healthy. The team came back home for a Friday game against the Washington Wizards, a rematch of the last Warriors-Wizards game that was decided by the refs. This time though Golden State of Mind did its best to bring keep the arena rockin as we sold 350 tickets to one of the best games of the season. It was a close game throughout, but the Warriors prevailed 135-128 thanks to Baron Davis’ amazing night. A back to back against the Lakers (away) and Spurs (home) was up next. After being down 19 in the first half, the Warriors roared back to take a 10 point lead in the 3rd. But a 19-3 Laker run in the 4th quarter along with some ill advised three pointers and missed rebounding opportunities doomed the Warriors. Still, the team nearly won it on a last second 3 by Harrington that was short. The Lakers swept the season series with a 115-113 win over the Warriors. So the Warriors looked to bounce back against the Spurs. Oops. Let’s just not talk about the 89-126 pounding the Warriors received.

Notable News: ESPN’s True Hoop written by Henry Abbott recently ran a bidding war for KG. In a joking manner, see what Golden State of Mind offered for The Big Ticket. After that, fans were allowed to vote on who’s offer was the best...

Fast Forward: It’s just a 2 game week for the Warriors. A home battle with Phoenix looms on Thursday and another home game against Memphis is next Sunday. The Warriors are such a good home team that these are both winnable games and as hot as the Clippers have been playing, these might have to be wins to keep pace.
