GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS
by Fantasy Junkie of Golden State of Mind

Recap Rewind: Wow. What a way to close off the season. We needed to run the table this week to get into the playoffs and we did. Not only did we run the table, but they were all blowouts. On Friday, the Warriors visited their Northern California brethren, the Sacramento Kings for a tough road game. Fortunately the Warriors came out firing on all cylinders and put the game away in the 2nd quarter with a 42-23 quarter and a 21 point halftime lead. The Warriors are now the real Kings of Northern California. There were times during the game that the Warrior fans drowned out the Kings fans with chants of “Lets Go Warriors, let go”. Good times indeed. Next up, the Warriors took on the KG-less Timberwolves in Oakland. This game wasn’t ever very close. In fact, the Warriors were up 40 to start the 4th quarter and wound up winning 121-108 as the end of the bench cleaned up the victory. Dallas arrived in Oakland on Tuesday for a potential first round playoff preview. Fortunately for the Warriors’ playoff hopes, the Mavericks sat Dirk Nowitzki, Josh Howard, and Jerry Stackhouse. That resulted in another big win for the Warriors as they swept the season series with the Mavs in a 111-82 victory. So now with 1 game left to go and the Warriors needing to win that game to get into the playoffs, they went to visit Portland. With a 120-98 win against a Blazer team missing its top players, the Warriors ended the 12 season playoff drought and finally clinched a spot in the postseason.

Notable News: We’re in the playoffs. That’s all the news you need to know.

Fast Forward: Watching lottery balls bounce… wait what?! Playoffs? Oh we have a 7 game series with the best team in the league coming up. Dallas vs Golden State jumps off on Sunday. Playoffs, baby!
