ORLANDO MAGIC

Recap Rewind: Wow, the basketball gods are not liking the Florida NBA teams. Along with the Heat, the Magic are carrying a three-game string of L's. They hosted the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday and got trounced 111-95. Then on Friday and last night, lost to the Hawks.

Notable News: Despite losing his backup point guard to Travis Diener, Carlos Arroyo still wants to be a member of the Magic. But, if a deal is right, it'll be adios for Arroyo... The team wants to re-sign Darko Milicic, but since he is a restricted free agent, they might trade Darko as well... Trading Darko would have been more of a done deal if 2005 lottery pick Fran Vazquez didn't plan to play out his contract with FC Barcelona in Spain.

Fast Forward: The Magic start a three-game homestand, first playing host against the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday, the New Jersey Nets on Friday and the next night, the New York Knicks.

WASHINGTON WIZARDS

Recap Rewind: The Wizards fell victim to the Phoenix Suns' win streak, losing big to them on Tuesday, 127-105. Then got two road wins, first against the Detroit Pistons at the Palace on Friday, 99-96. And at Boston against the Celtics on Sunday, 105-91.

Notable News: Do not cross Gilbert Arenas because he MIGHT forgive, but he'll NEVER forget. After being cut from the U.S. National team, Arenas promised revenge on Team USA assistants Mike D'Antoni, head coach of the Suns, and Nate McMillan, coach of the Trail Blazers. Against the Suns last month, Agent Zero scored 54 points - check! The Wizz play the Blazers on February 11 and Arenas has said his next 50 point game will happen against the Blazers. This prompted D'Antoni to say that Arenas would kill Duke to get revenge against Team USA head coach, Mike Krzyzewski. To which Arenas broke it down and said tha the would score about 84 or 85 points. I say, let's make it happen.

Fast Forward: Tonight, they host the Pistons and then cross country lines to play the Toronto Raptors tomorrow. Saturday, they come back home to play the Los Angeles Lakers.
