Recap Rewind: The Mavericks finished the season as the best team in basketball... At least on paper. Obviously the playoffs is a whole different season. But, we'll get to that shortly as we'll first sing the praises of the Mavs. So what went right? Well, what didn't? The team stayed relatively healthy all season, Dirk Nowitzki played like an MVP, Josh Howard played like an All-Star, Jason Terry played very well, as did the rest of players outside of the Three Amigos. Honestly, they seemed to have played with an ease about them on their way to 67 wins, including three different win streaks when they rolled off 12 or more W's in a row. Yeah, that's winning basketball right there.
Fast Forward: Speaking of which... the Mavs get ready to defend their Western Conference crown and hope that the winning continues, but being out West, it won't be an easy task. First up, they face the Golden State Warriors whom they were swept by in the regular season, but it is now a whole new bag of chips. I'd prepare to see the Mavs get their munch on.
