MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES

Recap Rewind: Before this past season the Grizz won 45+ games in the previous three seasons. Unfortunately the Grizzlies took a big slide in their play from the get-go after losing Pau Gasol due to the injury he suffered during the summer's World Championship. Could one man mean so much to a team? Well, it wouldn't matter with this team as there were too many things that weren't going right. However, Gasol showed that he was fully healthy and effective at the latter end of the season and rookie Rudy Gay showed flashes of brilliance and his potential for upcoming seasons. And Mike Miller broke out this season, kicking his offense up a notch with Gasol missing from the lineup and keeping it steady throughout the season... a season that saw the Grizzlies finish with the worst record in the NBA.

Fast Forward: Up next is the lottery. The Grizzlies will have the best chance to get the first pick and with two very solid impact rookies on their way - Ohio State's Greg Oden and Texas' Kevin Durant - the Grizzlies will have a problem as to whom to take since both are great players. However, could you imagine a frontline of Gasol, Gay, and Greg? The future is looking brighter for the Grizzlies.
