SAN ANTONIO SPURS

Recap Rewind: The Spurs are the Spurs. What do I mean by that? They're consistently good year-in and year-out since Tim Duncan joined the team and speaking of TD, he was healthy this season and provided his usual 20/10 averages, but was on the court enough where those averages added up to big totals. The Spurs finished second in the division, but had the unfortunate luck of being in same division as the Dallas Mavs, owners of the best record in the NBA.

Fast Forward: The Spurs get to meet the Dynamic Duo of Allen Iverson and Carmelo Anthony of the Denver Nuggets. The Spurs took the regular season series, but earlier in the season did not face Iverson as he wasn't on the team. The recent Nuggets win over the Spurs saw Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, and Manu Ginobili on the bench resting up for the playoffs. If things work out well, we can see a Phoenix Suns/Spurs matchup in the Western Conference semifinals. And if the regular season is any barometer of how these teams matchup, the Spurs should move on to the Western Conference Finals. It seems like they win every other year, anyway, so there time is now... again.
