DALLAS MAVERICKS
Recap Rewind: Well, the Mavericks are on a 15-game winning streak as I write this, so needless to say they won all their games last week. There was the demolition of the Atlanta Hawks last Monday; the mighty defensive effort in Minnesota on Tuesday that limited the T-Wolves to 65 points; the thriller against the visiting Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday, which saw LeBron James miss a late pair of triples, either one of which would have sent the game to OT; and finally on Saturday the Orlando Magic were in Dallas, and they, too, got beat. Jason Terry had 29 points and 15 assists for the victors.
Notable News: This just in - Dallas will likely make the Playoffs this season... The 15-game win streak is the longest in franchise history, and puts the Mavs at 50-9 on the season. They are the sixth fastest team in NBA history to reach the 50-win mark. Can they reach 70 wins? doesn't think so... The Mavs ain't interested in Scottie Pippen... MVP-candidate Dirk Nowitzki just keeps getting better.
Fast Forward: On Tuesday, the Mavs host the New Jersey Nets, then have a big long massive break until Sunday, when they take to the road to play the Los Angeles Lakers. Monday sees the Mavs in Oakland to play the Golden State Warriors.
