NEW ORLEANS HORNETS
Recap Rewind: The Hornets went 3-11 in March last season, and the same month does not look good for them so far this year. They finished off February with a loss in Cleveland and a win over the visiting Hawks. Last Friday brought the Hornets to Chicago for a date with the Bulls, but Tyson Chandler was unable to make the most of his return to the Windy City as the visitors fell, 93-104. Back in Oklahoma City on Sunday, the Hornets dropped another one to the visiting Jazz, despite a 20-point, 19-rebound effort from that same Chandler guy.
Notable News: Following the loss to Utah, the Hornets are now 28-32 on the season, and 1.5 games behind the LA Clippers Denver Nuggets for a Playoff spot out West... and Much furore about next year's All-Star game in New Orleans after NBA bigwig Billy Hunter and the Rockets' Tracy McGrady voiced their concerns about crime in the city. Everyone thinks less of them now... Chris Paul has been struggling shooting, as evidenced by his 48-of-128 (37%) clip over the past three weeks... Former Hornet Chris "Birdman" Andersen, who was suspended by the League for drug-abuse last season, looks forward to mounting a comeback when his punishment ends next January.
Fast Forward: The Hornets begin a three-game road trip in Denver on Tuesday. On Friday they visit the Phoenix Suns, followed by a rematch with the Jazz in Salt Lake City on Saturday.
