SAN ANTONIO SPURS
Recap Rewind: A strange week in San Antonio, which began with the Spurs grabbing their 13th straight win, 93-84, at the expense of the visiting Clippers. Contrast that to Saturday's 85-91 loss to the lowly Boston Celtics, a team which had not won in San Antonio since 1990, which is, like, a long time ago. Somewhere in between those games was another loss for the Spurs, this time on the road against the Milwaukee Bucks.
Notable News: The Spurs are now 46-20 on the season, which is one win better than both the Celtics and Bucks combined. Hmm. That record puts them in the 3-spot out West, four games behind Phoenix and three clear of Utah... Manu Ginobili ain't at all happy with the Spurs' performance the past three games, saying the team needs to "be more humble"... A notable performance by Tim Duncan in that Celtics game: 20 points, 16 rebounds, 7 blocks, 3 assists... The aforementioned Ginobili, who has spent half this season coming off the bench, is the fourth-best Spur of all-time. Just so you know... Tony Parker: hip-hop superstar.
Fast Forward: Up ahead, the Spurs' schedule looks a lot like that of the Rockets. The Pacers are in town on Wednesday, followed by the Pistons on Friday. Then the Spurs hit the road, playing the Seattle Supersonics on Sunday, and the Golden State Warriors next Monday.
